FRAISA SA is an owner-managed family business with seven locations and is one of the leading manufacturers of milling, drilling, and threading tools for metalworking. To keep the Bellach production site in Switzerland internationally competitive in the long term, the company is investing strategically in modern automation technologies. A particular challenge consisted in the automated handling and palletizing of up to 3,500 tools of various sizes daily.
By deploying the humanoid robot NEXTAGE, FRAISA was able to make the automatic handling and palletizing of tools significantly more efficient.
Today, the solution processes up to 1,600 blanks per night, increasing productivity, process reliability, and the level of automation in manufacturing.
