FW 100 - System Series

Our hemming systems were specifically developed to meet the high quality and design requirements of modern door and flap systems. They offer maximum flexibility in system design and can be optimally adapted to various manufacturing fixtures, plant configurations, and cycle time concepts.

The result is a consistently uniform, high-quality hemming outcome with optimal and reproducible adhesive distribution within the hem flange a crucial prerequisite for durable, visually flawless, and functionally reliable components.

The use of premium, high-strength materials ensures outstanding service life while requiring minimal maintenance. This sustainably reduces operating costs and guarantees high system availability throughout the entire product life cycle.

Your benefits at a glance:
• Superior hemming quality for add-on components
• Flexible adaptation to various plant concepts and cycle times
• Optimal adhesive distribution for maximum component quality
• Long service life with minimal maintenance requirements

FW 100 - Roller hemming systems for vehicle closure parts

Compact tools for closures and defined force ranges.

In addition to the tool itself, the integration of accompanying robotic services is a key element for successful system implementation. These services include simulation, offline programming, and commissioning.

FW 150 - Roller hemming systems for special applications

Designed for application-specific requirements and special boundary conditions. The use of a double-spring loaded tool enables a bidirectional working range, resulting in increased process reliability, improved adaptation to component tolerances, and flexible use in different hemming directions and robot orientations.

FW 200 - System Series

The pneumatic tools of the FW-2xx series are designed for demanding hemming applications using counterroller technology. Multiple precisely coordinated pairsmof rollers generate a closed, controlled force flow, while the robot performs guidance only. This ensures high process stability with minimal load on the robotic system.

An intelligent robot guidance system by AI® reliably compensates for body tolerances and can optionally be used for continuous quality monitoring.

For wheel house hemming applications, a robot-guided surface protection system (hemming bed) with integrated clamping technology is also available. The systems can be integrated into the production line either robot-guided or stationary. This allows different components to be flexibly guided along a fixed-position tool reducing system complexity while maintaining high cost efficiency.

Your benefits at a glance:

  • Closed force flow for stable hemming quality
  • Reduced robotic load and high process reliability
  • Active tolerance compensation and optional quality monitoring
  • Reliable surface protection for wheel house applications
  • High flexibility through stationary or robot-assisted integration

FW 200 - Roller hemming systems for wheel house and door apertures

Tools with counter-roller technology for closed force flow and high process stability. Optionally equipped with sensor technology for robot position optimization and process monitoring.

FW 270 - Roller hemming systems for flange-free or stationary applications

Suitable for limited installation space and flexible plant concepts.

FW 300 - System Series

The FW 300 is a high-performance hemming tool designed for process-reliable hemming operations in both pulling and pushing directions.

Its optimized geometry enables operation in complex, undercut geometries and on deep‑drawn or pan‑shaped components that cannot be accessed using conventional tooling solutions such as FW 100.

The precisely engineered spring mechanism, with a spring rate of 250 N/mm, ensures a defined force characteristic, high repeat accuracy, and stable process conditions. With a maximum permissible load of 2000 N, the FW 300 is suitable for demanding industrial applications and continuous operational loads.

The tool combines robust construction with high adaptability, thereby supporting efficient and reproducible hemming processes, even under challenging installation space and production conditions.

FW 300 - Roller hemming systems for limited access

Compact system solutions for hard-to-access hemming areas.

FW 400 - System Series

The FW 400 hemming tool is designed to meet the demanding requirements of hemming sun roof and panoramic roof systems. The 180° open flange is precisely and controllably formed by multiple electromotorically actuatedpairs of rollers to achieve consistent and reproducible hemming results.

The compact tool design eliminates the need for complex auxiliary fixtures and simplifies integration into existing production lines. Adjustments and optimizations are carried out exclusively via the robot program, enabling short changeover times and high variant flexibility.

The system can be used either robot-guided or stationary and is particularly suitable for cost-efficient multi-model and series production environments.
